“I don’t think I’m depressed, but I’ve lost my sense of meaning.”
You may be facing a major transition or asking bigger questions about meaning, identity and what you want from your life.
Sometimes nothing is dramatically wrong.
You simply know something needs to change.
You may be thinking things such as:
“Everything looks fine, so why do I feel empty, stuck or disconnected?”
“I’ve achieved what I was supposed to achieve. Why does it no longer feel meaningful?”
“Something in my life needs to change, but I don’t yet know what.”
You may recognise yourself in some of this:
- Your life looks successful, but does not feel as satisfying or alive as you expected.
- You feel stuck, restless, disconnected or unsure what you want next.
- You are going through a relationship change, loss, career transition or significant turning point.
- You are ready to move beyond simply understanding your history.
How do I know whether I’m burnt out or I’ve outgrown my life?
You do not need to arrive with a perfectly formed goal or clear explanation of what needs to change.
Sometimes all you know is that something feels off. You feel stuck, exhausted, disconnected or have a sense that the way you are living is no longer working for you.
We can begin there.
Part of the work may be discovering what you are actually wanting more of: freedom, ease, clarity, better relationships, less reactivity, more confidence, more vitality or simply a different experience of yourself and your life.
Your goals may change as the work unfolds.
Life is not a straight line
My work may be relevant to people experiencing identity change, major life transitions, midlife questions, grief and bereavement, loss of vitality, loss of meaning or purpose, and existential questioning.
Life is more like a series of snakes and ladders.
We move forward. We get knocked sideways. We take detours. We repeat things. We discover things we could not have understood earlier.
Even difficult experiences can build musculature.
They can develop resilience, discernment, courage, clarity and a stronger sense of self.
They can show us what we will no longer tolerate, what we value and who we are becoming.
I like to think of this as a spiral of becoming.
Do I have to be spiritual to work with you?
Not at all.
My work is grounded, psychological, somatic and clinically informed.
I also have training and experience in energetic and shamanic approaches, and for some people intuitive or spiritual dimensions become meaningful parts of the work.
For others, they don’t.
I won’t impose a spiritual framework on you.
Sometimes you simply know there is another way you would like to be living, even if you cannot yet articulate what that looks like.
Testimonials
I just want to say thank you again.. I can clearly remember sitting in tears on the steps outside my workshop at the end of 2019 and researching Cape Town therapists on my phone (something I had been meaning to do for the past 3 years, and often browsed the Internet but never made an appointment.) Anyway, I remember coming across your website and seeing a photo of you and something clicked.. I knew I was ready to make the call, and I did strait away. I had no idea where this road was going to lead me, and if I knew back then I probably wouldn’t not have made the call out of fear. Our work together has given me a new found power... I can see the in the light in me brighter then ever before, even though I am In pain at the moment, I also feel stronger then ever and I am so ready and even excited to take on this new season of my life. You are such a wonderful woman and healer and I am so grateful for the time gifted to me to work with you this year. I look foward to catching up with you at the end of the year :) sending only love and blessings your way and will be thinking of you and wishing the best in your healing and this wild ride we call life ❤️
