“Can I work with you online if I live outside South Africa?”
Yes.
I work online with people in South Africa and internationally, and I can use all of the therapeutic modalities I offer online where they are appropriate for you and what we are addressing.
I also work INTERNATIONALLY ONLINE using Zoom (or another platform you may prefer).
I work online with clients in the US, the UK, Europe, the UAE, Switzerland, Singapore, Hong Kong, Australia, Canada, New Zealand and across Africa.
Sessions from wherever you are
You can have sessions from home, from work or wherever you are, in any country.
There is no travel and no waiting room.
What you need for an online session
- A private space where you will not be interrupted or overheard.
- Headphones, if anyone else is nearby.
- A steady internet connection, and a computer, tablet or phone with a camera.

Time zone
All appointment times are provided in South African Standard Time (SAST, UTC+2). Clients are responsible for converting appointment times to their local time zone and ensuring that the scheduled time is suitable for them.
Please be aware that South Africa does not observe daylight saving time. If your country changes its clocks seasonally, the time difference between your location and South Africa will change accordingly.
The practical consideration for international clients is whether we can find a time that works comfortably across our respective time zones.
If our schedules align, we can certainly explore working together.
Online sessions are arranged Monday to Friday, 07:00 to 18:00, South African time.

Professional Registration and International Online Sessions
Renée is an experienced South African healthcare practitioner, registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA).
She offers an integrative approach informed by her professional training and experience in trauma-focused and body-based therapeutic work, including EMDR and TRE®.
Renée is based in Cape Town, South Africa. Her South African professional registration does not constitute registration or licensure in other countries or jurisdictions.
International enquiries are considered individually, taking into account the nature of the requested service, professional requirements and applicable regulations.
Clients are provided with information about professional registration, the scope of services and the terms of online consultations before beginning work together.
What happens in the first session?
The first session is an opportunity for us to understand what has brought you to see me, what is troubling you and what you would like to change.
The first session is also about fit.
By the end, I would like you to have a sense of how I work and whether I feel like the right person for you. I will also have enough information to begin forming an approach to the work.
What if I need medication?
I do not prescribe medication.
If you are elsewhere, we can discuss the referral process available in your area and what kind of professional you may need to see.
The exact route depends on where you live and what services are available.
