I work collaboratively with clients to understand not only what is happening in their lives, but what may be organising those experiences underneath the surface.
My approach is integrative. I draw from psychological, somatic, trauma informed, relational and systemic ways of working, and weave different modalities together according to the person in front of me.
My training through Gabor Maté’s Compassionate Inquiry programme also informs the way I listen for what sits beneath a response: the adaptations, beliefs, emotional experiences and protective strategies that may have developed over time.
The work may focus on:
- emotional regulation and nervous system capacity
- recurring relationship dynamics
- boundaries and over responsibility
- stress, burnout and overwhelm
- self worth and self acceptance
- conflict and communication
- grief, loss and major life transitions
- trauma and its ongoing effects
- feeling stuck despite insight
- reconnecting with meaning, vitality and a stronger sense of self
Doing this kind of work sometimes means going into places that are uncomfortable.
For me, that needs to happen with kindness, care and compassion.
I am not interested in shaming you, judging you or confronting you for the sake of it.
I want us to be able to sit together and look honestly at what is happening without you having to worry about what I think of you.
I bring warmth, humour, curiosity and care to the process, alongside a willingness to look directly at what needs our attention.
My intention is to create a relationship that feels safe, held and contained enough for difficult things to be looked at without judgement.
The aim is not simply to understand yourself better, but to create the conditions in which you can begin to experience yourself, and your life, differently.
